No Refuse Disposal for Phase 2, no worries, we live in a dump!

"Morning Neighbour
i need help, where do i dispose rubbish at phase 2."

Unfortunately you cannot dispose of any Rubbish in Phase 2, nevermind recycle anything! Although Faircape has issued multiple warnings to residents here of issuing fines, they have yet to provide proper, nay, ANY Waste facilities for Residents in Phase 2. Many residents still leave their trash in the hall ways in protest. In the spirit of Khayelitsha, we could just dump our trash out the windows, they are already filthy and a total dump outside of our flats. Did you know that the developer's representative told a member of the UES Help Desk that they are also supposed to be providing window washing services? None of our windows have ever been washed and are opaque with construction grime! But in all seriousness Resident, I regretfully have no solution for you as there are NO Waste Facilities in Phase 2. I've heard that some residents sneak over to the hotel and dump their trash there in the hall ways, I have been taking my trash to work. Since we have no solution for this one due to the lack of facilities from UES, this has officially been lodged with the Body Corporate and the developer and we hope to hear some results soon. Don't hold your breath!

Why don't you use the rufuse room in Phase 1. Like the rest of us do?

Surely you can wash your own windows? Dude, you are seriously unhappy.

Dude, you are seriously unhappy here. Why don't you move?

Been living in UES since Oct last year, and know 9 other people in complex. All happy.

yes, there are issues, but the way you are going on seems like the world is about to end.

Take a chill pill Tjina.

@ Anon's first comment:

According to the building plan and the commitments we were made by the agent we leased through, we should be having our own refuse room. Not to mention the Refuse room in Phase 1 is a trek through the "Luxury Hotel" lobby and is riddled with homeless people waiting to go through our waste. Additionally, THERE IS STILL NO RECYCLING.

@ Anon's second comment:

Obviously we can wash our own windows, however per the agent the Body corporate is supposed to be doing that. Our windows have yet to be washed, dude, and we pay for that service in our rent which is then paid to the Body Corporate in the form of levies, duderino.

@ Anon's third comment:
Dudeness, we are VERY unhappy. We've asked to move, but the landlords won't let us out of our leases. We have a tenant that asked the second week he was there to move out and the said no, it will all get better by the end of the month (June). Another asked even last week and they didn't even have the decency to respond promptly according to the deadlines she gave as she filed with the Rentals Tribunal, Duder, it's like seriously bad, bro.

We're glad you're living in Phase 1 happily, we are in Phase 2, unhappily.

El Duderino, we've tried to work it out civily with endless emails, SMS's, phone calls, etc. to solve the issues, which really the Body Corporate and owners should have been doing the whole time, but to no avail. Dude-sicle, we've been trying and trying and this is the only way we've gotten any attention to our issues. So Dude-orama, issues like these should never have been part of our lives int eh first place, we were told this phase was completed.

As for Tjina, it is a Pitjantjatjara word, the language literally translates to "Having the Word". So, Dudetastic, we're not in Australia, but thanks for the vote of confidence by calling us the authority on the word for this place. Much obliged. :)
